Hey guys.

I'm after people's experiences with the Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4
motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?
Item=N82E16813128336), as it seems a little too good to be true to get
a well branded board with an X48 chipset for around £128.

Kind Regards,

Matt

Also, am I future-proofing my computer a little better by going for an
X48 chipset over an X38 chipset?

Kind Regards,

Matt

Running one with a Q9450 and 4 GB OCZ Reaper RAM. Works great! They have even
fixed the old problems with the on-board Realtek sound (I also still have a
P35-DS4 with an E6850)!

Yes. The X38 was VERY short-lived, and was replaced quickly by the X48.
